The Hero Within
How to Write….The Basics
Ever wanted to write something but didn’t know how or where to start? Sometimes we simply want to write a letter to someone, or perhaps simply jot down things in a diary. Maybe you want to write a blog, or a book, but simply feel lost. Well, although I do not proclaim to be an expert and am only co-authoring my first book now, I want you to know that it can be simple. It can be easy. There are some necessary steps though….
1) You must want to write.
2) Give yourself a set time each day that you are going to write. Don’t look at the entire task as a whole, but rather look at it in pieces and start with a timed piece daily. If you go beyond the time, that’s ok, but try to write for at least the time you set out to write for.
3) Simply write what comes to your mind. Don’t worry about order, or verbage, or dates, etc…. Simply write what you feel…even if it doesn’t make sense right now, it will. Once you start and things keep coming and coming, suddenly you will have a path in which you are taking and things you wrote the first day may end up last, etc… you will get your feel for it.
4) Don’t get discouraged and keep on track.
Anything you set your mind to, you will achieve….Believe in yourself. When in doubt, ask your Hero Within for help, not only will it be there, you will succeed! Happy writing 🙂
Writing a Book
As most of you know, I am currently co-authoring a book with other women and one man. Most people think it’s so exciting and awesome. Although I do not disagree and this has always been a dream, have you ever written something that has never been written before? Have you ever written something that has never been told before? Have you ever tried to sit down and write your life story? When first writing I felt liberated, accomplished, excited, everything one should probably feel when about to co-author a book and fulfill one of their dreams. But once you write it then send it to the writer….once you hit the “send” button, all of those great things you were feeling suddenly turn into jaw dropping, sweaty, nervousness, Oh My feelings throughout your entire body. I have told my story many times, but I TOLD it. I got to choose who I told and who heard it. Once it is in written form, I don’t get to control who reads it. I don’t get to see their reaction. They don’t get to hear and feel my emotion. I simply don’t know them yet they know so much about me. There are things in the chapter I have only ever told my husband and now for the world to see. Why? Because those things have made me who I am today. They have helped become the strong woman I am today with a great marriage, a successful business and career path and so much more. Those things are what helped me discover My Hero Within!

Life’s Attitude
If all of us could truly live for how we feel and what we care about and not what others think or feel, our lives would be so much greater. This is how we should live:
“I don’t have an amazing figure or a flat stomach. I’m far from being considered a model but, I’m ME. I eat food. I have curves. I have more fat than I should. I have scars because I have a history. Some people love me, some like me, some hate me. I have done good. I have done bad. I love my Pj’s and I go out without make up and sometimes don’t get my hair done. I’m random and crazy. I don’t pretend to be someone I’m not. I am who I am, you can love me or not. I won’t change! And if I love you, I do it with my Heart. I make no apologies for the way I am.” Â -ilovemylife.
